Kindergarten Team

Dear Parents/Guardians and Patrons,

The purpose of this letter is to provide information/resources that will help you prepare for your child to begin a new school year. On the following page is a suggested list of instructional items/school supplies our students will use in their grade during the 2024-2025 school year.

NOTICE: The items on this list will be used during the regular school day. These items may be brought from home on a voluntary basis, otherwise, they will be furnished by the school. A student may be required to replace supplies provided by the school which are lost, wasted, or damaged by the student through careless or irresponsible behavior.

We welcome any/all donations (supplies and/or $) on behalf of our students! All donations we receive will be utilized during the regular school day, during instructional activities. Monetary/cash donations may be used to help us fund field-trips and/or other learning activities we feel are important in helping our students grow and develop and to purchase instructional resources for our students. Monetary/cash donations in any amount under $250 may be mailed/dropped off to the school office. Donations over $250 must run through the Weber School Foundation for tax-related purposes. When donating to the Weber School Foundation, indicate you’d like the donation to benefit Pioneer Elementary and your student’s grade.

Mrs. Kilts Supply List

The following items are helpful.

PLEASE LABEL THEM WITH YOUR NAME.

  • A backpack that can easily hold a folder and other school papers.
  • A water bottle. Your bottle will go back and forth from school each day. You can wash and refill each day at home. Please consider one that will not spill easily in your backpack or at school.
  • A 20x30 area rug (like you may use in kitchen) for exercise mat and resting.

The following are optional:

Sometimes we have a snack in class. If you would like, you may send a box of cookies, crackers or fruit snacks.
Small individually wrapped treats for rewards. Examples: Frooties, Tootsie Rolls, Starbursts, Jolly Ranchers, Chocolate Kisses, Smarties, etc.

If you are able, please help with a donation of $10. This is not required, but is optional. While the school provides basic supplies, no funds are provided for the many fun enrichment activities that add excitement and learning to our kindergarten year (for example…caterpillars in the Spring, planting seeds, dissecting plants, cooking experiences, crafts, math manipulatives, etc.). This donation can be made in the office. Please let the office know it is for Kilts Class.

Some parents ask if there is anything else our class needs. The following is a wish list. You are welcome to choose one or two items to donate if you like:
